Congregational Shelter Coordinator

Part-time, typically 15-20 hours per week.
Will include evenings, weekend evenings, and on-call responsibilities.

The Congregational Shelter Coordinator is tasked with the day-to-day management and operation of the Congregational Shelter program. This includes engaging with community partners to register guests, managing guest check-in and dispersing to congregations each evening, and addressing any concerns with guests. The Congregational Shelter Coordinator is responsible for developing relationships with guests and is sensitive to the unique needs of those experiencing homelessness. Additionally, the Congregational Shelter Coordinator maintains relationships with host congregations and organizes the weekly schedule of hosts.

 

Recuperative Care Center/Family Inn Evening & Weekend PRN Supervisor

6HR; 8HR; 12HR Shifts Available

The PRN Supervisor works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and provides shelter, hospitality, and supervision on a variety of shifts to guests experiencing homelessness. These shifts are on an as-needed basis to fill in for staff absences and paid time off.  Each shift has specific duties and responsibilities, which are outlined by the Program Director. 

Kitchen Positions

Room In The Inn – Memphis is seeking a skilled cook to prepare delicious meals according to the provided menu. The cook assists in cooking dishes that delight our guests and serves them in a timely manner. Applicants must follow verbal and written cooking instructions and deliver well‑prepared meals. They must be skilled in all kitchen preparation areas and able to multitask as needed. They need experience using various equipment, ingredients, and cooking techniques. We show hospitality to our guests by providing excellent food and courtesy at all times. Food Safety certification preferred.
  • Cook: On-Call/As Needed  (No designated schedule; shifts are typically 4 hrs, 6 hrs, or 10 hrs between the hours of 6am-7pm Sunday-Saturday.)
